Eurozone Inflation Slows Down in Spain

Spain's inflation has reached its lowest level since July 2021. Prices for consumer goods increased by 3.2% over the past year, as of May. This marks a slowdown compared to the inflation peak of nearly 9% in 2022. A moderation in the prices of food, fuel, and electricity is behind the drop in the inflation rate.

Fire Breaks Out in Eastern Germany

An old military site dating back to the Nazi era and Soviet occupation caught fire in Germany, leading to the evacuation of several villages in the eastern part of the country. The situation is unpredictable due to the tons of buried munitions. A fire had already occurred in this region in 2019, which was particularly affected by drought. "It seems worse than last time, it's much closer and more threatening," a resident said.
