Nkunku signs for Chelsea In a move that has been in the works for some time, Bundesliga top scorer Christopher Nkunku's transfer to Chelsea has been confirmed. Both Leipzig and Chelsea announced the deal, with Chelsea revealing that Nkunku is now a Blue. The Frenchman's transfer fee is rumored to be around €60 million, and he had initially been under contract with Leipzig until June 30, 2026.

Leipzig to find a replacement With Nkunku's departure, Leipzig must now find a replacement for their star player, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 for €13 million. Max Eberl, RB Leipzig's sporting director, stated, "We will now find good solutions to be able to fill the gap that Christo leaves." In addition to winning the Footballer of the Year award last season, Nkunku also shared the top scorer title with Werder Bremen's Niclas Füllkrug, both with 16 Bundesliga goals in the season.

Nkunku's stats in Leipzig Nkunku played 172 matches for RB Leipzig, scoring 70 goals and assisting in a total of 126 goals. He achieved his top scorer title in the last match of the Bundesliga season against FC Schalke 04, scoring two goals in a 4-2 win.
