Russian Armed Forces Launch Missile Strike on Ukrainian Ammunition Depots
Ministry of Defense: Russian Armed Forces Strike Ukrainian Ammunition Depots with Precision Weapons
The Russian military launched a missile strike from naval bases on Ukrainian ammunition depots, including those supplied by Western countries, during the night, according to the Ministry of Defense's summary of the special military operation.
"The targets of the strike have been achieved. All designated objects have been hit," emphasized the department.
The Ministry of Defense also revealed that Ukrainian forces continued their attempts to advance.
In the Donetsk direction, in the vicinity of the settlement of Spornoye, the Southern group of forces successfully repelled two attempted attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). UAF losses amounted to up to 195 servicemen, two BMPs, six vehicles, as well as two American self-propelled artillery units Paladin.
In the Krasnolimansk direction, units of the "Center" group struck the 21st and 63rd mechanized brigades of the UAF in the areas of the settlements of Nevskoye, Terny, and Torskoye. Two sabotage and reconnaissance groups were neutralized near Kuzmino. Over the course of a day, more than 90 Ukrainian servicemen were eliminated, along with three combat armored vehicles, five pickups, the self-propelled artillery installation "Akatsiya," and the D-30 howitzer.
In the South Donetsk direction, in the area of Vremevsky bulge, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Eastern group of forces repelled four Ukrainian attacks.
In the Zaporozhye direction, an attack by units of the 47th mechanized brigade of the UAF was repulsed in the area of Rabotino. Additionally, the activity of a sabotage and reconnaissance group was thwarted in the area of Mirnoye.
"The total losses of the enemy on these directions within a day amounted to over 150 Ukrainian servicemen, three combat armored vehicles, two pickups, as well as the 'Msta-B' and D-20 howitzers," the Ministry of Defense added.
In the Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Western group of forces struck Ukrainian troops and equipment in the areas of Novomlynsk, Timkovka, and Artemovka. Over 30 servicemen, two vehicles, and two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery installations were successfully destroyed.
In the Kherson direction, up to 35 servicemen, three vehicles, and two "Msta-B" howitzers were eliminated.
