Inter Miami Owner Reveals Messi's Contract
Jorge Mas, the owner of Inter Miami, has revealed that the Argentine star Lionel Messi will earn around 50 to 60 million euros per season, in addition to receiving a stake in the club after his retirement.
The 2022 World Cup champion had previously announced that he would move to the American league after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires.
Mas explained in statements to the Spanish newspaper "El Pais" that he engaged in lengthy negotiations with Jorge, Messi's father and agent, which lasted for three years in order to convince the star Messi to join his team.
He added, "It was necessary for us to sign players close to Messi, so we brought in Busquets, and there will be two or three deals in the coming days. We also talked to Jordi Alba and Di Maria, as for Luis Suarez, he has a contract and conditions, and I don't know the possibility of him moving to Inter Miami."
