Body of Missing Girl Found in the Orenburg Region

The body of a five-year-old girl who had been missing for several days in Sorochinsk, Orenburg Region, has been discovered, according to the regional head of the Investigative Committee in a Telegram channel.

"During the search operations on the water surface near the banks of the Samara River, the body of a child without any visible signs of criminal cause of death was found," the statement said.

The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Yesterday, the Investigative Committee of the Orenburg Region reported that on the afternoon of June 30, a five-year-old girl went missing after leaving the courtyard of House No. 142 on Naberezhnaya Street in Sorochinsk. Over 300 people were involved in the search, including investigators, police officers, dog handlers, divers, rescuers, and volunteers. A criminal case of murder has been opened.
