According to the Russian intelligence agency, FSB, they have prevented an attack on the leader of the Russian-annexed Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. The state-run Russian news agency, Tass, quoted the Russian intelligence agency saying, "An attempted assassination of the governor of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, organized by the Ukrainian intelligence services, has been thwarted." No statement from Ukraine regarding the allegations has been released yet.
