Biden and Scholz Discuss Preparations for NATO Summit in Vilnius over Phone
On Tuesday, President Joe Biden had a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss preparations for the upcoming NATO summit and ways to further strengthen the alliance, according to a statement from the White House.
"President Biden had a conversation today with German Chancellor Scholz to discuss preparations for the NATO summit, which will take place in Vilnius. They discussed a range of issues that leaders intend to address at the summit, including ways to further strengthen the North Atlantic Alliance, and expressed hope for continued discussions in Vilnius," the US administration informed.
As previously announced, the next NATO summit will be held in Vilnius on July 11-12.
