"Zenit" Loses to "Crvena Zvezda" in Friendly Match The footballers of St. Petersburg's "Zenit" were defeated by Belgrade's "Crvena Zvezda" in a match of the domestic international friendly tournament.
The match, which took place at the Zenit Stadium on Tuesday, ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the Serbian champions.
The Brazilian newcomer to Zenit, Duqueiros, scored his debut goal for the team in the 62nd minute, while Mirko Ivanic (40th minute) and Jean-Philippe Krasso from a penalty kick (88th minute) found the net for "Crvena Zvezda." Alexander Kovalenko, who joined the St. Petersburg club from "Sochi" in June, made his debut match as part of Zenit.
The match was attended by 17,970 spectators. In their next and final match of the tournament, Zenit will face Turkish side "Fenerbahce" on July 9th.
