Pavard's Goal Leads France to Victory - Another Success for Rangnick

Dublin/Linz - Benjamin Pavard propelled France to another victory in the European Championship qualifiers with a superb goal. Thanks to the strike from the FC Bayern Munich defender, the World Cup runners-up defeated hosts Ireland 1-0 (0-0) in Dublin. Taking advantage of a mistake in the Irish defense, Pavard found the back of the net with a powerful shot under the crossbar in the 50th minute.

Austria Secures Second Qualification Win with Bundesliga Professionals' Goals

Austria also clinched their second victory in the qualification campaign for the 2024 tournament in Germany, thanks to goals from two Bundesliga professionals. Florian Kainz (68') of 1. FC Köln and Freiburg's Michael Gregoritsch (88') secured a 2-1 (0-1) win against Estonia in Linz. Rauno Sappinen (25') had given the visitors the lead.

Poland and Netherlands Secure Wins as well

Under the guidance of new national coach Fernando Santos, Poland earned their first victory. Karol Swiderski (41') scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 (1-0) win over Albania. The Netherlands also celebrated their first win in the qualifiers after a 0-4 setback against France. They defeated underdogs Gibraltar 3-0 (1-0). Memphis Depay (23') and Nathan Aké (50', 82') found the back of the net for Ronald Koeman's team. Gibraltar was reduced to ten men following Liam Walker's red card in the 51st minute.
