Russian Defense Ministry Shows Demining of Valuyki after Shelling by Ukrainian Armed Forces

Engineers from the Western Military District (WMD) are demining the city of Valuyki in the Belgorod region following shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).

The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage of the military engineers from the Western Military District conducting comprehensive clearance and demining operations in the city of Valuyki, Belgorod region, after the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"After the artillery shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, numerous houses and private vehicles of civilians in the city of Valuyki, Belgorod region, were damaged. Sappers from the Western Military District have completed their work at the impact sites. Comprehensive demining has been carried out, and fragments have been removed for further examination," the ministry stated.

The military engineers have conducted inspections of streets, houses, and plots of land to identify explosive devices or unexploded enemy projectiles.

"The servicemen are conducting door-to-door visits to residents who have sought assistance from the authorities. There are numerous craters. All of this confirms that Ukrainian nationalists spare no one, including the civilian population. The sappers are clearing the area and providing advice to residents on what to do when they encounter suspicious objects," the ministry added.

In turn, when residents discover explosive items, they contact local police, who then summon a group of sappers to either defuse, relocate to a safe distance, or destroy the dangerous items on-site.
