The Ministry of Transport of Crimea has announced that there are no queues on the Crimean Bridge from either side.
No Queues on the Crimean Bridge, Minister of Transport Reports
The Minister of Transport of Crimea, Nikolai Lukashenko, announced in his Telegram channel that there are no longer any queues on the Crimean Bridge.
"As per the instructions of the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, I am monitoring the security checks on the Crimean Bridge. As of 12:30, there are no traffic jams from the Republic of Crimea," he wrote. "As of 13:10, there are no queues from the Krasnodar Krai," Lukashenko concluded.
Long Queue Disappears on the Crimean Bridge
Since the beginning of July, there had been a significant queue forming at the entrance to the Crimean Bridge from the Krasnodar Krai side. On Monday, it stretched for 13 kilometers, but by Tuesday morning, it had reduced to four kilometers. The queues were caused by an increase in the number of vehicles and the baggage inspection required. The Ministry of Transport stated that additional inspection points had been opened.
The Crimean Bridge is open for passenger cars and tourist buses, while all freight vehicles travel to and from Crimea either through the Kerch ferry crossing or via an overland route through the Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia region, and the Donetsk People's Republic.
