We will prioritize the immediate response to the consequences of the bad weather in locations where there is a danger to people," he wrote.

Grechishev added that all city services, including the Emergency Situations Ministry, have been mobilized.

He also urged residents, if possible, to stay at home and to call the Unified Dispatch Service in case of emergencies.

According to eyewitnesses, some streets and entrances to buildings in the city have been flooded, and dozens of cars have been submerged in water. Local communities have been sharing videos and photos of the severe weather on social media.

One woman was injured by lightning, according to a representative of the emergency services.

"A woman was injured by a lightning strike that hit her electric scooter in Kolomna. She has been taken to the Kolomna Burn Center. Preliminary reports indicate burns on her feet," the agency's source said.

Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, stated that the consequences of the bad weather are also visible in Krasnogorsk and Orekhovo-Zuyevo.

"Thunderstorms, rain, hail, and winds of up to 20 meters per second are expected until 12:00 on July 8, according to the Emergency Situations Ministry... All our municipal services have switched to an intensified work mode," he clarified in his Telegram channel.

Vorobyov also advised residents of the region to be cautious and to take care of themselves and their children.
